A woman has been charged following an 'incident' in Westmeath.
It occurred in Mullingar on Friday evening at around 7.30pm, and a woman in her 20s was taken to Regional Hospital Mullingar for treatment of what are believed to be serious injuries.
Another woman, also in her 20s, was arrested in connection with the incident, and was being detained at a Garda Station in Westmeath.
She's since been charged, and appeared before Mullingar District Court yesterday afternoon.
Gardaí say investigations into the matter are ongoing.
