Women Encouraged To Join The Ranks In Laois Fire & Rescue Service

There are a number of vacancies up for grabs at the moment.

Laois Fire and Rescue Service is hoping to fill its current vacancies with women.

Female firefighters are employed at four of the county's eight stations.

But Chief Fire Officer Declan Power says he'd like to see that increase.

He's actively encouraging any women between the ages of 18 and 55 to consider the job:

There are currently vacancies at Rathdowney and Stradbally Stations.

You can sign up to become a firefighter at laois.ie.
