Another yellow alert for high temperatures comes into force today, covering counties Mayo, Galway, Limerick, Cork and Kerry, with temperatures expected to exceed 27 degrees between now and Wednesday.
Temperatures will remain above 20 degrees across the midlands counties today.
A separate heat advisory from Met Eireann also continues nationwide until Friday.
