Laois, Offaly and Westmeath will be under a yellow wind warning from midday.
Gale force winds are forecast in a number of counties today ahead of Storm Amy.
A Status Orange wind warning will come into effect in counties Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo and Sligo from 2pm until 10pm.
