Young people from Laois working in occupational, speech and language and behavioural therapy abroad should be offered full time positions as an incentive to return.

Independent TD Brian Stanley says the county is currently without anyone in these positions, amid a shortage in special school places.

More university places should be made for students studying these positions was a solution proposed by Deputy Stanley at a meeting discussing the issue
