Job opportunities in a number of sectors look set to grow this year.

According to analysis, 20 counties saw a decline in opportunities last year, with urban areas most affected.

This year, it seems rural areas will benefit as demand has grown for accounting, engineering, social care and construction.

The Taoiseach and the Finance Minister are among the delegation from Ireland to attend the World Economic Forum this week.

The event sees the world's rich and powerful gather in Davos in Switzerland.

Others due to attend are European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

38% of employers want workers to have more of a physical presence in the office in 2024.

At the moment, 44% of employees work fully from the office, while 41% follow a hybrid model.

61% of staff say they would not be prepared to accept a lower salary for a fully remote role.
