Town will play their final game of the season this weekend.
Shelbourne and Athlone Town played out an entertaining 1-1 draw in the Women's Premier Division over the weekend.
Lily Agg's side took the lead after 10 minutes when former Shelbourne player Noelle Murray fired a superb low shot into the bottom corner, before substitute, Offaly's Becky Watkins scoring an equaliser.
Both sides pushed for a winner, but resolute defending and some fine goalkeeping kept the scores level.
The result leaves Shelbourne under pressure in the race for the second European spot, with Galway United moving ahead of them into second place.
Town finish off their campaign at home to Cork City this Saturday.
