They picked up their first points in a 2-2 draw with Galway last week.

Athlone Town head into Saturday's Midlands derby with Longford Town looking to register their first win of the season. 

They picked up their first points in a 2-2 draw with Galway last week, but are disappointed to have let an early lead slip. 

Manager Adrian Carberry will be encouraged by the performance of attackers Ryan Manning and loan signing Taner Dogan, who have both hit the ground running since the resumption. 

Vice-captain of the midlands side, John Morgan, says it's great to have a local derby where both sides will be playing positively:
