Both midlands clubs suffered comprehensive defeats in AIL rugby over the weekend.
The Buccaneers were beaten 62-26 by Banbridge in Rifle Park, while Tullamore lost 40-19 against the Dolphins in Virgin Media Park on Saturday.
The two teams are bottom of their respective leagues after four games as a result, and are still searching for their first wins of their respective campaigns.
Both clubs are back in action this weekend.
The Athlone side travel to Takumi Park to take on Old Crescent, while the Offaly team host Midleton in Spollanstown.
Both games kick off at 2.30pm on Saturday.
