The championship took place in Kilkenny over the weekend.
It was a successful weekend on the medal front for midlands athletes at the National Cross Country Championships.
Cormac Dalton from Mullingar Harriers powered through to secure gold in the Senior and U23 Men 9000m race with a time of 31 minutes and eight seconds.
Victory has also now guaranteed his position on the Irish squad for the European Cross Country in Brussels in December.
In the Women's 9000m race, Danielle Donegan ran a fantastic race as the Tullamore Harrier's representative secured Gold in the U23 division and bronze in the senior.
She will also go forward and represent Ireland at the European championships on the U23 squad next month.
Portlaoise AC runner Mary Mulhare also ran a successful race and took home silver in the Senior race.
