Taylor scored a controversial points victory over Persoon last June.
Katie Taylor is close to agreeing a long-awaited rematch with Delfine Persoon next month.
That's according to her promoter Eddie Hearn.
Taylor is scheduled to take to the ring in Hearn's Fght Camp series on August 22nd, but is on the lookout for an opponent after negotiations with Amanda Serrano broke down.
Hearn says Serrano's management are deliberately shying away from what would be a "legacy" fight against the undisputed champion.
A rematch with Persoon now looks most likely - Taylor beat the Belgian in a controversial points decision in June of last year.
Happy Birthday, @KatieTaylor! 👑
