Clough Ballacolla are champions of Laois once again after they beat Rathdowney Errill in the senior county hurling final yesterday.
It was Rathdowney Errill that led by 4 points at the break having played with the aid of a stiff breeze.
That lead proved comprehensively shy of what was required as Clough raced into the lead of the game in a third quarter that saw them swarm all over their opponents.
Stephen 'Picky' Maher top scored for the 2024 champions with 1-13, 1-10 of which was scored in the second half, with Maher registering 1-6 in the first ten minutes of that second period.
The final score in O'Moore Park was 2-22 to 0-22.
Clough's manager, Willie Hyland, pointed to a renewed focus in the group after missing out on the county final last year.
