Laois Claim Vital Win In National Camogie League

Westmeath were defeated by Kerry.

It was a mixed weekend for midlands teams in the National Camogie League. 

Laois secured a hard fought 2-11 to 2-9 win away to Carlow in Division 2A on Saturday. 

Aimee Collier and Grainne Delaney finished with 1-3 each each. 

Meanwhile, in the same division Westmeath suffered a narrow defeat away to Kerry as Kevin O'Brien's side were beaten by 0-10 to 0-8. 

Julie McLoughlin, Caoimhe McCrossan and Megan Dowdall all scored two points each, while Patrice Diggin impressed for the Kingdom with 0-7.
