Leeds United Legend Norman Hunter Passes Away

Covid-19 claims the life of former centre-half

Of the the legends of Leeds United FC Norman Hunter has died age 76.

He was admitted to hospital earlier this week and passed away on Friday morning after being diagnosed with Covid-19

He made 540 appearances for Leeds and won two First Division titles, the FA Cup, League Cup and two Inter-Cities Fairs Cups.

He played 28 times for England and was part of the 1966 World Cup winning squad.

Paying tribute to him, former team mate for 12 years and friend Johnny Giles said that Hunter was "an exceptional character and a great friend. We will all miss him" he said.
