Westmeath man says he's looking forward to the next phase in his life.

Mullingar's Conor O'Brien knew for some time that the road back to playing for Leinster had ended.

The 26-year old centre has been forced to retire at the age of just 26 due to a persistent hamstring injury. 

O’Brien made 24 appearances for Leinster, with what proved to be his final game coming against the Dragons in October of last year.
