The 2019 Open Champion dominated the field at Doonbeg.
Shane Lowry is the Irish Open Champion once again.
The Clara man delivered the most dominant performance of his career over four days of near flawless golf in County Clare.
He walked off the 18th hole at Doonbeg on Sunday having broken a four year title drought with a stunning 11 shot victory over Patrick Reed and Joaquin Nieman.
Lowry led the field after setting a course record of 62 on Friday.
Instead of managing his three shot lead, he continued to set the pace at Doonbeg, extending that lead to four shots after carding a 65.
Lowry's performance over the week was a telling reminder that when he is on form, there are few if any that can live with his ball striking.
Alongside with renowned iron play and short game, his putter caught fire.

His seventh tour title breaks a drought that ran for over 1,400 days since he claimed the BMW Championship at Wentworth in 2022.
There have been highlights since including making the clutch putt to secure the Ryder Cup for Team Europe late last year.
He did pick up the Zurich Classic of New Orleans with his good friend Rory McIlroy in April of 2024.
However his pursuit of an individual title has been littered with some devastating near misses.
This year alone he was in prime to win titles in both the Dubai Invitational, and the Cognizant Classic before late collapses left him empty handed.
Lowry also reached the Sunday at Augusta in contention for his first green jacket, before carding a brutal 80 on Sunday to emphatically underline a campaign of great disappointment.
That was until the Irish Open at Doonbeg in September.
If the now two time national open champion can access the form he displayed across the four days this week, the biggest titles in golf are within his reach.
