The Ryder Cup gets underway tomorrow.
Shane Lowry "deserves his place" on the Ryder Cup team according to his former coach Donagh McArdle.
The Offaly golfer is preparing for his second Ryder Cup appearance, which gets underway this Friday at the Marco Simone Golf and Country Club in Italy.
His previous experience at the tournament saw the Clara man win a doubles game alongside Tyrell Hatton, before losing out in the single's game against Patrick Cantlay.
McArdle says Lowry's inclusion would have been well thought out:
