It was an Irish one-two on the PGA tour on Sunday.
Shane Lowry says he's "proud" of his performance after finishing second to Rory McIlroy at the AT and T Pebble Beach Pro Am over the weekend.
The Clara man landed the second place finish after shooting 19 under par over the course of his four rounds.
McIlroy held control of the tournament throughout the final round and sealed his 27th PGA Tour title after carding a 66 on Sunday.
A birdie at the last saw Lowry finish on a positive note and the 2019 Open Champion says he's disappointed to fall short, proud about how he fought, and added that I thought watching his friend win was "pretty cool".
Reflecting on my week at Pebble Beach… I’m disappointed to fall short of what my ultimate goal was on Sunday but leave proud of how I fought, especially when the going got tough yesterday.

To watch one of my good friends in full flight doing his thing was also pretty cool.… pic.twitter.com/Ci33nC32nQ
