Laois welcome Offaly to Portlaoise this weekend.
Laois should have exerted more pressure on the ball in their defeat to Cavan in the Tailteann Cup opener according to their manager Billy Sheehan.
Sheehan saw his team succumb to the Division Three league winners after a competitive first period.
A run of 7 points against Laois from the start of the second half meant a two point gap at half time turned into an unassailable lead for Cavan after the third quarter.
The game finished 2-20 to 1-14.
