It'll be run in a similar format to the ladies All-Ireland.
The Westmeath football championship could have a similar format to the ladies All-Ireland series this year.
It's being proposed that the competition will have four groups of three with St. Loman's, Garrycastle, Mullingar Shamrocks and The Downs as seeded teams.
Those who finish first and second in each group will qualify for the quarter finals and be will be seeded for the 2021 championship.
This format will still need to be formally ratified by clubs.
