NHL: Win For Westmeath, While Offaly Suffer Narrow Defeat

It was another interesting weekend in the National Hurling League.

It was another mixed weekend for midlands sides in the National Hurling League. 

Offaly suffered a third defeat on the bounce as Waterford secured a 1-19 to 0-16 win over the Faithful in Walsh Park yesterday. 

Reuben Halloran's 54th minute strike sealed a six point win for the Munster outfit, as they now sit fourth in Division 1A with four points. 

Meanwhile, Westmeath got their first victory under Kevin O'Brien's reign. 

The Lake County saw off the challenge of Meath in Cusack Park on a final scoreline of 0-25 to 1-19.  

Killian Doyle finished with 0-10, while Eoin Keyes also impressed with 0-5.

Both teams return to action in two weeks time.
