A round up of senior action in the faithful county.
The first round of the Offaly Hurling Championship got underway across the faithful county last weekend.
Two hard fought wins in group one, Kilcormac/Killoughey taking out a young Birr outfit by three points while Coolderry also got their campaign off to a winning start with a narrow win over Seir Kieran.
Meanwhile in group two, there was a high scoring draw between Shinrone and Ballinamere 2-22 to 3-19.
Reigning champions St.Rynagh's also got off to a winning start.
They defeated Belmont by 3 points, 0-20 to 1-14.
Our Offaly Hurling commentator Joe Troy says he doesn't think a workmanlike performance will hurt their bid for back to back titles:
Group One Results:
Birr 0-14 - 0-17 Kilcormac/Killoughey
Coolderry 1-16 - 0-18 Seir Kieran
Group Two Results:
Shinrone 2-22 - 3-19 Ballinamere
St.Rynagh's 0-20 - 1-14 Belmont
