Offaly produced an impressive second half comeback to put the game back in the melting pot.
Offaly came back from eight points down at half time in Glenisk O'Connor Park to beat Laois by a single point in the Walsh Cup yesterday.
Laois enjoyed a dominant first half, in which PJ Scully scored 8 of his 16 points in the game.
When Brian Duignan was given a straight red card just before the break it appeared the contest was finished.
However Offaly produced an impressive second half comeback to put the game back in the melting pot.
A second yellow card for Padraig Delaney saw Laois reduced to 14 and Offaly managed to get over the line with a late free from substitute Cathal Kiely.
Offaly manager Johnny Kelly says he's happy to see his side's resilience:
The final score in Tullamore was 2-21 to 1-23.
