Edenderry's Cian Crampton broke his own Irish record to win a major championship medal.
Offaly's Cian Crampton has become the first Irish athlete to win a field medal at an under 18 European Championship.
The Edenderry discus thrower won bronze after breaking the national under 18 record with a throw of 60.55 at the championships in Slovakia.
Crampton secured his place in the final after throwing a season's best on his first effort in the first round.
After the final he paid tribute to his club and coach:

It proved a successful championships for Ireland who returned from Banska Bystrica with five medals.
