Portlaoise GAA Club were approved planning permission last July.
Approval is being granted from planners to a Laois GAA Club revising major redevelopment plans.
Portlaoise GAA received planning permission last July for the redevelopment of their Grounds in Rathleague, which included the demolition of existing buildings, the development of a modern clubhouse, indoor training space, and outdoor pitches.
Changes to original plans include the permitted handball alleys being replaced with two storage rooms, with two new ball striking alleys added with a 30-metre external ball wall provided on the south-eastern side.
Amendments are also proposed to parking and cycle facilities, including a reduction in car parking spaces, along with three motorcycle spaces and four bus spaces.
A revised layout of Pitches 2 and 3, including surrounding landscape and additional scoreboard are also in place.
Construction for the project has already got underway.
