Drogheda Wolves produced an unexpected comeback.
The Portlaoise Panthers' Division One winning streak is over after the Laois side suffered a defeat to Drogheda Wolves on Monday.
Jack Scully's side had won their opening 13 games, but were unable to get the better of their Louth opponents, losing on a scoreline of 100 points to 95.
Despite the defeat the Panthers are still nine points clear of second placed side Ulster University in the North Conference League, with two games in hand.
This weekend the Laois side will be looking to avenge their National Cup Final defeat when they play Limerick Celtics at seven o'clock in Crescent College in Limerick on Saturday.
