He is seven shots off the lead at the moment.
Shane Lowry has completed his first round following the Ryder Cup.
The 2019 Open Champion shot a one under par round of 71, to bounce back from a bogey-bogey start.
He went on to make birdies on seven, twelve and fourteen at Carnoustie.
The Alfred Dunhill Links pits players at three different courses over three days. Lowry will be back on the course just before 11 o'clock tomorrow morning in Kingsbarns before finishing off on the Old Course at St. Andrews on Saturday.
