Shane Ryan To Feature In Enhanced Games Next May

The 31 year old announced his retirement from swimming last week.

Irish Olympic swimmer Shane Ryan has joined the Enhanced Games which will allow athletes to use performance-enhancing substances during the competition.

The Portarlington swimmer called time on his career last week, but will now be part of the competition which takes place in May 2026 in Las Vegas.

Sport Ireland says they're "deeply disappointed" by the decision of Ryan, who represented the country at the Olympics in Rio, Tokyo and Paris.
