Cappincur defeated 1/8 favourites Tullamore in a major upset.
There was a big shock to kick-off the Offaly Senior Football Championship.
Cappincur won just their 5th ever game at this level, defeating Tullamore in fiesty local derby 0-12 to 1-8.
A first half goal had given Tullamore a 1-4 to 5 point lead at the break, before a series of second period free's brought Cappincur back into contention.
Offaly footballer Eoin Carroll kicked a last minute point to win it.
He says taking such a big scalp is massive for the club:

Elsewhere this weekend a red card for Oisin Kelly wasn't enough to stop reigning champions Ferbane, they defeated Edenderry 1-12 to 1-08 in group one.

Rhode ran out 9 point winners of a repeat of last year's county semi final, 1-19 to 1-10 against Clara.

While newly promoted Bracknagh put in a strong showing against Shamrocks.
They took a 0-7 to no score lead before gradually being clawed back.
That game finished up with a one point win for Shamrocks, 1-15 to 2-11.
