It's been a remarkable performance by Shane Lowry on the second day of the RBC Heritage in South Carolina.
The Open champion struck an eagle and 5 birdies en-route to a round of 65.
The round started as it would go on with an eagle on the par five 2nd hole, birdies followed on 4,5,7 and 9 and suddenly he was out in 31 and shooting up the leaderboard from his overnight position of 45th.
A more steady card is evident on the back nine, just a solitary birdie on 12 breaking up eight pars.
He's three back from the current leader Corey Connors with a couple of hours of play left on the PGA Tour.

Lowry hit a stunning 71% of his fairways and 66% greens in regulation, that combined with a red hot putter has seen him card the leading round on day two thus far.
He has Gary Matthews on the bag this week.
The South African has been a PGA Tour caddie for 16 years, working with Tim Clark, Camilo Villegas, Sergio Garcia, Trevor Immelman, Anthony Kim, Brendan De Jonge, Lydia Ko, Minjee Lee, Luke Donald and Charles Schwartzel during that time.
It appears as if the two have struck up a good initial partnership.
