The Tullamore Harrier ran her way in to the U23 Euro Cross top ten on Sunday.
Midlands athlete Danielle Donegan is reflecting on her top 10 finish at the European Cross Country Under 23 Championships.
The Tullamore Harrier ran to an excellent and slightly unexpected eighth place finished in Belgium on Sunday.
She led home a women's under 23 team that finished 11th in the team standings.
Her club mate, Ava O'Connor was third Irish runner home in the race in 63rd position.
Donegan, who was aiming for a top 20 result, will move in to the senior grade next year.
She says it was the support from both Ireland, and Tullamore, that spurred her on to finish well:
