Westmeath & Offaly Avoid Each Other in Tailteann Quarter-Finals

Offaly will host New York while Westmeath travel to Carlow.

Westmeath go to Carlow and Offaly host New York in the quarter-finals of the Tailteann Cup this weekend.

The pairings were made this morning after Westmeath and Offaly advanced to the last-eight yesterday afternoon.

Westmeath held off Laois in Portlaoise to win by 1-13 to 0-13.

Meanwhile in Tullamore, Offaly backed up last week's win over Wexford with an eight-point victory over Wicklow. (0-18 v 0-10)
