Both clubs are battling for a place in this year's county final.
Clonkill and Lough Lene Gaels meet in this year's Westmeath Senior Hurling Championship semi-final in Mullingar this weekend.
The Gaels finished second in the group phase of this year's competition after winning all but one of their championship outings.
Their sole defeat came at the hands of Castletown Geoghegan who await the winners of this weekend's match.
Clonkill lost to the same opposition and also found themselves on the wrong end of a two point loss to Lough Lene Gaels in the last round of the group phase.
That game was just a dress rehearsal for Sunday's contest.
A championship final place is up for grabs at 4.15pm in TEG Cusack Park.
