UL were crowned Fitzgibbon Cup winners for the fourth time in five years on Friday.
Offaly hurler Adam Screeney says he was delighted when he heard the Fitzgibbon Cup final was being played at Croke Park.
The Kilcormac Killoughey man played the full 60 minutes for UL as they were crowned the 2026 winners with a 4-30 to 3-21 win over Mary I on Friday evening.
It's the fourth time in five years that the Limerick side have won the national title.
Laois' Iain Shanahan was also brought on as a late sub.
