A recent change with the interpretation of the rules relating to VAT and unregistered farmers has had a huge impact on farms throughout the country. The Revenue are now refusing to refund VAT on items such as meal bins, automatic calf feeders and bulk milk tanks. Martin Meyrick from the Irish Farmers Journal talks about these changes and how it will impact on farm investment hugely going forward. Martin Kennedy from agridirect.ie speaks about what to buy the farmer in your life this year as a stocking filler. From fur lined wellies, head torches and simple electric fence testers there are lots of beneficial and practical presents on offer. Declan McEvoy from IFAC chats about a new app that the accountancy group are rolling out among their clients which will make the end of year accounting process more straight forward for all involved.
