Let's Go Green with Aisling O'Rourke
Monday, 19 October 2026 - 47 minutes
Tonight on Let's Go Green with Aisling O' Rourke on Midlands 103
Climate justice, smarter recycling and a safer, greener Halloween are all on tonight's show.
Sinead Loughran, Climate Justice Policy Advisor at Trócaire, joins me to talk about the hardship climate change is causing for so many people around the world. We also look at a real challenge here at home: how do we convince people to move away from fossil fuels when many of them aren't yet feeling the benefits of Ireland's renewable energy?
Jo Linehan, sustainability journalist, takes us through a new set of resources from MyWaste that can help us all recycle and manage waste better, at home and at work.
Aoife McHugh of Timeless Celebrations Ireland shares her tips for decorating your home for autumn and Halloween in a way that's sustainable and fire-safe.
I'll also be talking about fire safety at this time of year. Illegal bonfires cause real environmental damage and pose serious dangers, especially to young people.
Tune in tonight at 7pm on Midlands 103, or catch it afterwards wherever you get your podcasts: Let's Go Green with Aisling O' Rourke.
