Applications for the Basic Income for the Arts scheme is opening at 1pm today.
Professional artists across the midlands are being encouraged to apply before the closing date of 12th of May.
The €18.27 million scheme will support 2,000 artists with payments of €325 per week over three years.
Successful applicants will be selected over the summer, with payments expected to begin before the end of 2026.
