The money was raised in a Freefall Tandem Parachute.
An Offaly man has raised over €2,000 for a children’s charity.
Kilcormac’s Greg Commins recently took part in a Freefall Tandem Parachute in aid of Crumlin Children’s Hospital.
His daughter Maisy benefitted from what he describes as ‘excellent care’ at the hospital when she was younger.
In a statement, the Children’s Health Foundation says Mr. Commins decided to be brave and complete a skydive for sick children:
“These funds will be put to use across Children’s Health Ireland at Crumlin, transforming children's lives for the better in the Nephro-urology ward.
The Nephro-urology Ward in CHI at Crumlin is a 7-bedded unit that specialises in acute care; complex urological abnormalities; and chronic renal failure managed by peritoneal dialysis.
This support means that children in Children’s Health Ireland at Crumlin will continue to have the most up-to date, life-saving paediatric equipment and services made available to them.
This kindness will help provide tomorrow’s cures and treatments for seriously ill children, through ground-breaking research.”
