There were 1,200 marriages in the midlands last year.
Westmeath had the highest total for the region, with 501 marriages, Offaly had 359 and there were 340 marriages in Laois.
33 of the midlands total were same sex marriages.
There were over 23,000 marriages across the country.
Friday was also shown to be the most popular day to get married, with July being the most popular month.
