RTE has thanked Mr. Tubridy for the re-payment.
'It's Never the wrong time to do the right thing.'
That's according to General Secretary of the National Union of Journalists, Ferbane's Seamus Dooley.
This comes as Ryan Tubridy has made a payment of €150,000 to RTE.
The former Late Late show host paid the money through his solicitor this afternoon.
The re-payment stems from a controversial deal involving RTE, Renault and Mr. Tubridy in 2020, which was publicly announced in 2023.
RTE has thanked Mr. Tubridy for the re-payment, which was made without conditions.
