It's part of plans to increase the supply of rental accommodation.
Moves to increase the supply of rental accommodation will see welfare recipients free to earn €14 thousand euro a year for renting a room in their homes without it affecting their benefits.
Social Protection Minister Heather Humphrey's will also announce changes to ensure those who live on their own won't loose their 'living alone' allowance if they rent out a spare bedroom.
The measures are aimed at encouraging more people to rent rooms in their homes to alleviate the shortage of accommodation for both domestic tenants and Ukrainian refugees.
