A Westmeath family blogger is advocating for 'mental health' days for children - with clear conditions in place.
It's regarded as children taking a day off school when they're starting to feel emotional and mental burnout.
Mother of three, Moate's Sonya Kelly and founder of hipbaby.ie started the practice for her eldest son who has a duel diagnosis of autism and ADHD when he was in fifth class.
She's found the practice regulates him and now implements it once per term for her children.
