The CSO'S Residential Price Property Index shows a 10.6% increase in house prices in the past year.
House prices in the Midlands continue to rise.
The latest Residental Price Property Index from the Central Statistics Office shows the region has seen a 10.6% increase in the twelve months to March 2025.
The most expensive place in the region to buy a house is still Westmeath at €296,000, a 17.4% increase from last year.
In Laois, prices have risen by 10.5% to €282,000.
While in Offaly, a house will set you back €265,000 at the moment, up by 12.5% from March 2024.
Nationally, house prices have increased by 7.5% with the median price being €362,500.
