The Laois principal dealing with a COVID 19 outbreak says the school will re-open when it's safe to do so.
Sinead Harte from Educate Together National School in Portlaoise moved classes online after they had 13 confirmed cases.
She is wishing the staff members and children a speeding recovery.
Ms. Harte says the decision to move to remote learning was taken to prevent staff and children from becoming close contacts:

Holy Family Senior School in Portlaoise took similar measures on December 10th.
