The newest Aldi store in the midlands is set for Westmeath.
30 new permanent jobs are coming to the midlands.
Aldi has secured planning permission for the construction of a new multi-million euro store on the Athlone Road in Moate.
The 6.8 million euro store will be 1,300 square metre in size, and will support 50 jobs during the construction phase.
A spokesperson for the discount retailer says it's hoping to have the new premises open by Autumn of 2025.
It'll be the fifth Aldi store in Westmeath, accompanying one in Athlone, two in Mullingar and one in Kinnegad.
