30,000 Teachers Set For National Lunchtime Protest

ASTI and TUI members will be demonstrating over senior cycle changes.

30,000 second-level teachers will be taking part in nationwide lunchtime protests today over a decision to accelerate Senior Cycle redevelopment plans.

Current proposals for redeveloping the Leaving Cert are being criticised as "one size fits all."

The reforms would see continuous assessments and classwork go towards the final grade in all subjects.
