The positions are permanent and will come on stream in the coming weeks.

515 applications have been made for 100 jobs being created at a Westmeath based company.

Parcel delivery company DPD announced the positions for drivers due to the increased demand in the service during the Covid-19 restrictions.

Their distribution hub in Athlone experienced its busiest ever day earlier this week, eclipsing the rush usually experienced after Black Friday.
