A former Westmeath football player will be remembered at a 5K walk this weekend.
Walderstown's Eoin 'Eoinie' Farrell, who was a goalkeeper for county's Leinster Minor Football Championship team in 2000, passed away on July 4th.
The Maryland GAA clubman was more recently known as a selector for Westmeath's minor footballers.
The Eoinie Farrell 5K Walk will kick off from Ardnagrath National School this Saturday, with proceeds going to the South Westmeath Hospice
