92 Year Old Woman Waiting Over A Year For Grant For Walk-In Shower

Offaly County Council is being condemned for its stance on the matter.

Offaly County Council is being condemned for its stance on a 92 year old resident - waiting over a year to receive a grant for a walk-in shower. 

The Disabled Persons Grant is given to people who need to add essential facilities to their property. 

Independent councillor Sean O'Brien says applications are taking months or years to come to fruition, which needs to be addressed. 

He also can't fathom why the council isn't putting more into the fund:
