Laois Senator Warns Blister Pack Funding Cut Will Lead To Dangerous Confusion

The packs separate daily tablet doses into individual pockets, allowing patients take the right tablets at the right time.

A Laois Senator and former pharmacy technician says she's baffled by the government's decision to suspend funding for medical blister packs.

The move has been delayed until a later date in the first quarter of the year following a severe political backlash in recent weeks.

Sinn Fein's Maria McCormack used to work as a pharmacy techincian, and has a daughter who requires blister packs for her medication.
